Major renovations are underway at our Albany Health Center. Renovations will begin at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Treatment Center in the fall. Renovations will continue to enhance WYH’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities for patients and staff.
“We know that there will be a lot going on at the Albany Health Center during the renovations,” said WYH’s Facilities Director, Scott Bryson. “It’s a very well-planned, well- thought-out project, and we are working to make sure that there is as little disruption as possible to staff and patients.”
To inform patients and visitors of the progress of the renovation and any service changes that will result, WYH will provide updates through:
- Information Associates/Schedulers will inform patients of changes when they make appointments
- Posts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
- This webpage
- Signage at the health center will advise patients and visitors of changes
“This is an exciting time,” said Bryson “When construction is complete, the Albany Health Center will be transformed into a state-of-the-art facility with collaborative care spaces, improved patient flow, and updated departments suites and examination rooms.”
Whitney Young Health will begin a capital campaign in 2023 to raise funds to continue to enhance the renovated facilities and provide patients with a quality and personalized healthcare experience, regardless of income. Renovations are expected to be completed within one year from the start of construction.
