Whitney Young Health announced today the hiring of two new pediatric providers, Dr. Samina Mian and Dr. Janice Kao. The addition of Dr. Mian and Dr. Kao allows for increased appointment availability, enabling more patients to be treated at the health centers located in Albany, Troy and Watervliet.

Dr. Mian received her education from Columbia University and King Edward Medical College. She most recently worked as a medical consultant for IEM Corporation and as a pediatrician for Genesis Pediatrics, both located in the Capital Region. Dr. Mian received a Health Certificate of Excellence from the New York State Department of Health for reaching the Healthy People 2010 Immunization Goal for two-year-old children.
Dr. Kao received her education from Regis College, Al Fateh University in Libya, University of Kansas and Boston University. She most recently worked as a pediatrician at Choctaw Nation Health Center in Oklahoma.

Both Dr. Kao and Dr. Mian are certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
