Whitney Young Health, along with the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce, held an official ribbon cutting on Thursday, August 8 at to celebrate the opening of Whitney Young Health’s relocated Troy Health Center. The new 4,950 square-foot state-of-the-art health center is located at 849 2nd Avenue, in Lansingburgh’s Riverside Plaza.
Featuring four medical exam rooms and four dental operatories, patients will also have access to an integrative behavioral health treatment option and telehealth services. The new health center is conveniently adjacent to other retail establishments, and is on the bus line. This will provide patients with the ability to visit nearby pharmacies to fill their prescriptions.
The ribbon cutting was held during National Health Center Week, an annual celebration to raise awareness about the importance of Federally Qualified Health Centers, which are located in medically underserved communities. Nationally, community health centers provide quality, affordable health care to more than 28 million patients each year.
